Objectives
Through this programme, participants will:
• Understand the importance of finance as a management tool within the production environment.
• Learn how to interpret a balance sheet, analyse its key items and assess the financial health of a company.
• Be able to interpret a profit and loss statement and identify actions to improve performance.
• Evaluate different investment alternatives and justify them from a financial perspective.
• Understand the various cost components of a product.
• Prepare a budget and monitor its execution.
• Determine and interpret the most relevant financial ratios for decision-making.
Methodology used
The programme is delivered in an online format. It combines live sessions with the instructor and practical case resolution. Throughout each module, scheduled live virtual sessions will be held where course content is delivered, proposed case studies are analysed, and participants have the opportunity to raise questions and discuss specific plant-related situations.
Attendance at these sessions is mandatory.
Assessment: Successful completion of all modules and exercises is a mandatory requirement to obtain the programme certificate. In addition, active participation in the live sessions with the instructor will be taken into consideration.
