Eddie van de Steeg
Converting process and operator training expert with over 25 years of experience in the corrugated industry
Eddie van de Steeg is a corrugated board production and converting specialist with more than 25 years of industry experience. Since 2000, he has worked in corrugated plants in operational leadership roles across both production and converting, giving him a practical understanding of the processes, equipment, and people behind stable plant performance.
Before entering the corrugated industry, Eddie spent 12 years in the pharmaceutical division of AkzoNobel, working for Diosynth and Organon. His roles included Chief Operator, with responsibility for shift operations, and Research & Development, where he helped scale new pharmaceutical raw materials from laboratory to factory production.
In 2006, Eddie moved into training and consulting for the paper and corrugated board industry. Since 2016, he has worked as an independent trainer and consultant and is the founder of EXCEED YOU!, supporting companies through operator development, practical coaching, and process-oriented improvement.
His expertise includes converting operations, operator and machine training, train-the-trainer programs, methodical learning, Lean Six Sigma and WCM principles, and the development of learning organizations. He studied Paper Science Technology, NIMA B, Integral Management, and Senior Management, combining technical knowledge with a strong focus on skills, behavior, safety, quality, and productivity.
